1. We need the following information’s (for visa and travel
permits) at least 14 days prior to departure for Tibet (Full Name, Sex,
Date of Birth, Profession, and Passport No. & Nationality). Minimum 01 pax
has to be operated and Shangri-La Holidays Kathmandu has to obtain the
Tibet Visa for all groups.
2.
Mode of payments: 100% of the total cost should reach Kathmandu
by bank transfer or by cash in 3 weeks before group be operated.

Travel Permits : |
|
-All tourists visiting Tibet require
a valid China visa and a special Travel Permit which they can obtain only
by joining tours organized by recognized travel agencies. Those who arrive
in Kathmandu with a Chinese visa issued by Chinese Consulates outside of Kathmandu will find it useless
for entry into Tibet. -Visa
regulations change often. Presently as per official regulation a minimum
01 pax group is required for travel into Tibet.
-Diplomatic passport holders must get clearance from Beijing for travel
into Tibet which often takes long time. It is advisable to travel on
non-diplomatic passports, if you have one.
-At
least 7 days notice is required to process your Tibet visa via Lhasa and
at least 4 days in Kathmandu for the Chinese Embassy to handle your
passport. Visa can also be issued in less than 3 days upon payment of visa
rush fees. Normal group visa fee is US$ 26 and visa rush fee
is another US$ 17. |
